With her extensive knowledge of tax compliance and legislation, Anne has run our tax department since 2015.  She is highly experienced in dealing with all Corporate and Personal Taxation matters of a compliance nature.  She also has specialist expertise in dealing with Research & Development and Capital Allowance claims, as well as Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax planning.

What specialist skills do you offer your clients?

A wide knowledge of tax legislation and experience in corporate and personal taxation.

How long have you been a member of the Walker & Sutcliffe team?

Since June 2015

What has been your greatest professional achievement?

Passing Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax exams – never having to sit a serious exam again!

What do you most enjoy about working with the team at Walker & Sutcliffe?

That everyone is friendly and helpful, even when they are very busy.

What were you doing before you joined Walker & Sutcliffe?

Working at a range of smaller and larger firms over time who were also SME focused.

What did you want to be when you were growing up 

No plans. When I had to start thinking about getting a job, I thought I would try accountancy. By the time I was a qualified accountant, I had decided tax was more interesting so changed my role.

What are your interests outside of work?

Meeting friends and family and going on day trips or out for meals. Also visiting new places including doing city walking tours. I am also learning Spanish, very useful as my son has recently moved to Valencia.  To relax, I like reading.

What is your greatest personal achievement?

Surviving working in Germany and Switzerland as a student and also helping to set up an Out of School Club.
