Walker & Sutcliffe Turns Its Attention To Training With £25k Investment

Following a £25k investment in computer hardware to enhance processes and deliver efficiencies, Walker & Sutcliffe, the chartered accountancy practice based in Huddersfield, has turned its attentions to training, with a further £25k allocation.
Supporting a three-year strategy that is underpinned by expansion, this will mark the second phase of a longer-term plan to ensure the practice has the hardware, software and support in place to meet its ambitious targets.

Taking The Difficulty Out Of Making Tax Digital (MTD)

Changes to the legislation around tax compliance is nothing new, however Making Tax Digital (MTD), which was initially rolled out to businesses with sales above the VAT threshold of £85k, will be mandated for many sole traders and landlords by April 2026.
While this may seem like it’s someway off, Huddersfield-based Chartered Accountancy Practice, Walker & Sutcliffe, is encouraging businesses to make the changes now in preparation for the future. In doing this, it says companies will have the time to put into practice what will become a legal requirement.
