WS Bookkeeping Solutions is a new concept in the world of bookkeeping and management information which has been specifically developed to fulfil this business need for any small or medium sized business.

The level of service provided is geared to the clients needs so they only pay for the service they need, when they need it. 

We use fully-trained teams which consist of bookkeepers working in conjunction with management accountants.  The client’s business premises are visited weekly by a designated bookkeeper, and monthly by a designated management accountant (who will also act as holiday cover for the bookkeeper).  This combination enables us to maintain highly attractive charge-out rates when compared to hiring in-house staff to undertake the same work.

In addition to the benefits of receiving information in a timely manner, our bookkeepers have the backing of the Chartered Accountancy practice.  Any taxation issues or potential problem transactions can therefore be identified as they arise to ensure that the business does not suffer through lack of knowledge.

Also, as the management accountant produces a year-end file, the associated audit and accountancy costs of the business will invariably be reduced.

Turnover £0.75 million

We look after all the accountancy function on behalf of the business. When we were engaged, the company was making losses of about £2,000 a month with no cost of an accountancy function.  After three months of producing monthly management accounts, areas of overspend and overcapacity in the workforce were identified.  The company was enabled to take the decisions required to make it profitable and returned to making profits within two months.  This continues to date.  The profitable position is after the cost of our services of £10,260 per annum, which is less than the cost of a secretary.

Group of companies – Turnover £1.7 million

The company employed a Chartered Accountant at a total cost of about £34,000 per annum.  With the introduction of our services and using in-house staff, the cost of the accountancy function was reduced to £16,000 per annum, a yearly saving of £18,000 to add to the group’s bottom line.
