David qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1969 and set up his practice, trading as David A Walker in 1975 in the Windsor Chambers, Huddersfield with a small handful of staff. Over the years he moved to larger offices at 12 Greenhead Road and now employs some 15 members of staff.

He is presently involved in dealing with accounts for limited companies and other businesses, dealing with a number of international taxation matters together with tax manager, Mrs Jacqui Brennan.

David has been a member of Huddersfield Golf Club for over fifty years and was a former President following his captaincy in 1986. Also enjoying skiing during the winter period, David is particularly attracted to the social side of sport.

David has been married for a number of years and, together with wife Janet, he has two daughters and two Grandchildren.
